Foodprint Trax® & Scorecard
Foodprint’s Performance Management Suite
Foodprint Trax®, a real-time meter for waste
Foodprint Trax® is a human-powered mobile and web-based waste meter and GHG calculator. Trax is used by companies to monitor waste in one or many locations every day and track progress on the path to Zero Waste where 90% or more of wasted materials flow into the circular economy. Companies use Trax to:
Set and manage waste diversion and carbon goals.
Reduce waste costs and improve hauling partner accountability.
Meet ESG reporting requirements
Track benchmarks such as waste per room night, employee or restaurant cover.
Promote environmental wins to customers and employees.
The mobile app is used by housekeeping, janitorial, and food service teams to track their daily waste streams - think glass, metal, plastic, paper, organics, and yes - trash.
Site champions track other “specialty” streams in the web app - materials like textiles, mattresses, e-waste, and cooking oil.
It all comes together in real-time analysis in our web-based dashboard and monthly reports that our clients use to move more materials into the circular economy and meet ESG reporting requirements.

Foodprint Scorecard, measuring beyond diversion rates
Foodprint Scorecards are interactive online tools used to measure the performance of your Zero Waste Program - beyond just your diversion rate. Our Scorecards are customized to each client and together put you on a pathway towards TRUE Zero Waste certification.
Compliance Scorecard
The Compliance Scorecard ensures all the basic infrastructure, training, and tracking elements of your Zero Waste Program are still in place to set you up for success. It is customized to your site whether you are an office, hotel, restaurant, or a specific department.
The Compliance Scorecard is filled out monthly after program launch until you reach a score of 100%.
Contamination Scorecard
Once your site reaches 100% compliance for two consecutive months, you graduate to a Contamination Scorecard customized to your site. This monthly scorecard records the quantity and type of contaminants in your waste streams and nudges you toward custom tools to address commonly mis-sorted items and the underlying problems that cause contamination.
Contamination is an ongoing issue - the point of the scorecard is to understand the characteristics of your contaminants - not to eliminate them overnight.
Circularity Scorecard
Once your site has fully implemented Foodprint’s recommendations to address contamination and basic zero waste infrastructure in the previous two scorecards, you’ll graduate to the Circularity Scorecard.
This annually submitted scorecard measures whether you have adopted a more holistic, circular business model by eliminating waste from processes and practices, keeping materials at their highest and best use through prevention, reduction, reuse, and recycling, and have resource and nature conservation principles within your company ethos.

We help teams monitor, manage and grow the impact of wasted materials.
For green businesses, what used to be considered “trash” are recognized as opportunities - critical resources that can be reduced, reused, repaired, or recycled.
Our clients sort, move, manage and track the carbon impacts of more than a dozen material streams across many departments. They maximize waste reduction efforts and movement of wasted materials into the circular economy.
It sounds complicated, and it is - unless you have the right tools and best practices in place.
